Overview
Eva is a Filipino romantic drama about a young woman caught between two loves. Played by Angeli Khang, Eva finds herself drawn to Lauro, a houseboy, and to Victoria, her lady boss — two very different people who each offer her something she cannot find in the other. As her feelings deepen on both sides, Eva is forced to confront what she truly wants and, in the end, to choose only one of them. Directed by Jeffrey Hidalgo, the film leans into its love-triangle premise with a mix of tenderness and tension, following Eva as desire, loyalty, and jealousy collide in a household where personal and professional lines blur. With Ava Mendez as Victoria and Marco Gomez as Lauro, plus Ivan Padilla, Angelica Cervantes, Quinn Carrillo, and Cecil Paz in support, Eva is a compact, emotion-driven drama about a choice that cannot be put off forever.
Why Watch Eva?
A love triangle with an unusual shape: Eva’s two love interests come from opposite sides of the household hierarchy, which gives every scene an extra charge. Angeli Khang carries the film as a young woman torn between two people, and the story’s central question — who will she choose? — keeps the drama moving to its final decision. It is a good pick for viewers who like romantic dramas built around complicated feelings rather than easy answers.
