Overview
Shiela and Alvin are a wealthy couple whose marriage includes a private ritual they call their games, challenges meant to keep their relationship exciting. Directed by Mac Alejandre from a screenplay co-written with Ricky Lee, Sex Games is a Tagalog-language drama released in the Philippines in April 2023. The story turns when the couple meets a new pair of playmates, a more conservative couple whose presence raises the stakes of every challenge. What began as a private arrangement between two people becomes a test of trust, jealousy, and boundaries as the two couples’ values collide. Azi Acosta leads the cast as Shiela, with Benz Sangalang as Alvin, in a drama that treats its premise as a question about how far a couple will go to keep desire alive, and what happens when the game stops being fun.
Why Watch Sex Games?
Watch Sex Games for a Philippine drama built around a provocative premise and the clash between two couples with very different values. Azi Acosta and Benz Sangalang anchor a cast that plays the tension between freedom and commitment, and the film’s compact runtime keeps the focus on the choices each character makes as the games escalate.
