Overview
As a teenager, Alex Rose wrote a list of everything she wanted from life: dreams, adventures, firsts. Then life happened, and the list was forgotten — until her mother’s will brings it back with a twist. To receive her inheritance, Alex must complete every item on that teenage list within a year, from the silly to the scary to the deeply personal. What begins as a chore becomes a journey of rediscovery, as Alex reconnects with old friends, takes risks she has spent years avoiding, and finds herself torn between two very different men: the steady, reliable Brad and the free-spirited Garrett. Sofia Carson leads a warm, funny and genuinely moving romantic drama about grief, growing up and the courage to want more from life. It is the kind of film that sneaks up on you — light on the surface, but with a big, tender heart underneath.
Why Watch The Life List?
Because it is the rare romantic drama that earns its tears honestly. Sofia Carson is luminous as Alex, and the film’s central idea — that the person you were at thirteen might know something about happiness that the adult you has forgotten — is genuinely touching. It is funny, romantic and quietly profound, the perfect comfort watch for anyone who has ever wondered what might have been.
