Overview
Set during the events of John Wick: Chapter 3 – Parabellum, Ballerina follows Eve Macarro, a young woman raised by the Ruska Roma and trained in both ballet and the art of killing. When a trail leads her to the people who destroyed her family, Eve leaves the protection of the Continental’s world behind and hunts them across snowy Alpine villages and neon-lit cities, armed with pistols, blades, and a flamethrower. Ana de Armas brings a dancer’s precision and a survivor’s fury to the role, while Keanu Reeves returns as John Wick and Ian McShane, Anjelica Huston, and Gabriel Byrne anchor the film in the franchise’s underworld. Director Len Wiseman stages action that is brutal, inventive, and often breathtakingly choreographed. Ballerina is not just a spin-off: it is a full-blooded John Wick chapter with its own heroine, its own grief, and its own vengeance.
Why Watch Ballerina?
Because it proves the John Wick world is bigger than one man. Eve Macarro is a heroine worth following on her own terms — graceful, relentless, and dangerous — and the action set pieces are among the franchise’s most inventive, from a flamethrower duel to a fight staged like a dance. Fans get the lore; newcomers get a propulsive revenge thriller.
