Overview
Ten years ago, Yoon Ena came home to a nightmare: her uncle murdered, and a single strange puzzle piece left at the scene. Now a criminal profiler, Ena still carries that night with her, along with the suspicion that has never quite left her alone. When a new string of murders begins, each marked by another puzzle piece, detective Kim Hansaem is assigned to a case that keeps pointing back to the woman he once suspected. Forced to work together, Ena and Hansaem follow a trail that connects nine pieces, nine victims and one killer who seems to know them both far too well. Nine Puzzles is a tightly constructed crime mystery that rewards attention: every detail matters, every alibi frays, and the question is never just who is killing, but why the puzzle keeps returning to Ena.

Why Watch Nine Puzzles?
Nine Puzzles is worth watching because it treats its audience as a fellow detective: the puzzle-piece motif is not decoration, it is the spine of the case, and each new piece reframes what came before. Kim Da-mi gives Ena a guarded, prickly intelligence that makes her both the best person to solve the murders and the most obvious suspect, while Son Suk-ku’s Hansaem brings a dogged, sceptical counterweight. The eleven episodes move briskly without rushing the clues, and the final reveal lands because the show earned it. If you like mysteries you can actually try to solve, this is one of 2025’s most satisfying.
