Overview
Low Life begins with a rumor that is too valuable to ignore: a priceless treasure lies beneath the sea off the coast of Sinan. Oh Gwan-seok, Oh Hee-dong and Yang Jung-sook are among the rough, desperate people pulled into the hunt, each carrying their own debts, grudges and ambitions. What starts as a scramble for sunken riches soon becomes a dangerous game of betrayal, as gangsters, con artists, officials and ordinary villagers all try to outwit one another. Nobody can be trusted for long, and every alliance comes with a price. Based on Yoon Tae-ho’s comic, the series mixes dark comedy with crime drama, giving its treasure hunt a gritty, human edge: these are not glamorous adventurers but flawed people chasing one last chance to change their lives. As the search moves from muddy villages to open water, greed pushes old loyalties to breaking point, and the question is no longer who finds the treasure, but who survives wanting it.

Why Watch Low Life?
Low Life is worth watching because it turns a treasure hunt into a study of greed itself. The pleasure is not just in the sunken riches, but in watching a large, vivid ensemble lie, bargain and double-cross its way toward them, with dark humor cutting through the tension. Ryu Seung-ryong anchors the chaos, and the coastal, working-class setting gives the crime story a texture that glossy heist dramas rarely manage. If you like crime series where nobody is quite a hero and every plan unravels, this one will keep you guessing to the last episode.
