Dope Thief

Overview
Dope Thief is a gritty crime drama from creator Peter Craig about two lifelong friends in Philadelphia who pose as DEA agents to rob small-time drug dealers. Ray Driscoll and Manny Carvalho have a routine that works — until a routine rip-off lands them on the biggest score of their lives, one that puts them in the crosshairs of a dangerous narcotics operation. Brian Tyree Henry and Wagner Moura are superb as the two leads, balancing humor, loyalty, and desperation as their friendship is pushed to its breaking point. The series is tense and propulsive, with action sequences that hit hard and quieter moments that reveal the toll of a life built on lies. As Ray and Manny run from both criminals and the law, Dope Thief asks how far two friends will go to survive — and whether loyalty can hold when the stakes become deadly.
