Overview
Takopi is a cheerful alien from Happy Planet who arrives on Earth with a simple mission: to make people smile. Armed with magical Happy Gadgets, he befriends Shizuka, a lonely fourth-grader whose life is shadowed by bullying at school and trouble at home. At first, Takopi believes every problem can be solved with the right gadget, but he soon learns that kindness alone cannot undo cruelty, grief or the mistakes adults make around children. As he tries again and again to help Shizuka, Marina and Naoki, his good intentions collide with painful consequences, forcing him to confront what happiness really costs. Over just six episodes, the series turns a cute premise into a devastating, compassionate story about empathy, responsibility and the ways children carry adult failures. It is short, intense and unforgettable — best suited to viewers who can handle its dark emotional themes.
