Overview

In a world where almost everyone is born with a superpower called a Quirk, Izuku Midoriya is the unlucky exception — powerless, bullied and yet more determined than anyone to become a hero. When the legendary All Might passes his own Quirk to the boy, Izuku earns a place at U.A. High School, where the next generation of heroes is trained, tested and pushed to its limits. There he joins Class 1-A, a loud, talented and fiercely loyal group whose rivalries and friendships shape the series as much as its spectacular battles. From the Sports Festival to the war against the League of Villains, My Hero Academia balances big superhero action with genuine warmth, asking what heroism really costs and who gets to be called a hero. Funny, emotional and endlessly watchable, it is a modern shonen classic that builds across eight seasons to a powerful final battle — and a perfect gateway into anime for newcomers.
