Where to Watch
South Park streams on Paramount+ in the United States, according to TMDB’s watch listing.

Overview
South Park is the long-running animated satire about four elementary-school friends — Stan, Kyle, Cartman and Kenny — growing up in a small Colorado mountain town where absolutely nothing stays normal for long. What begins as a crude, construction-paper comedy about kids and their gloriously dysfunctional neighbours becomes, over nearly three decades, one of television’s sharpest and fastest satirical voices. The show takes aim at politics, celebrity culture, technology, religion and everyday American life, often turning around episodes within days of real events so the jokes land while the news is still fresh. Beneath the deliberately rough animation and the gleeful bad taste is a surprisingly warm core: the friendship between the four boys, the town’s endlessly exasperated adults, and a town that somehow survives every disaster its residents cause. It is adult animation at its most fearless — rude, clever, topical and endlessly quotable.

Seasons Snapshot
Early years (Seasons 1–10, 1997–2006): The classic era — short, self-contained episodes built on schoolyard chaos, small-town weirdness and the boys’ unforgettable misadventures.
Middle years (Seasons 11–23, 2007–2019): The show sharpens into full topical satire, with longer story arcs, more serialized runs and some of its most talked-about episodes.
Recent years (Seasons 24–29, 2020–2026): Shorter seasons and Paramount+ specials keep the satire current, with Season 29 arriving in 2026.
Why Watch South Park?
South Park earns its longevity because it never plays it safe. Few shows can pivot from a playground joke to a precise takedown of the week’s headlines in the same episode, and fewer still have stayed that nimble for almost thirty years. It rewards both casual viewers, who can drop into almost any episode, and longtime fans, who catch the running jokes and the town’s ever-growing cast of eccentrics. The animation may look simple, but the writing is anything but: fast, fearless and frequently funnier on a second watch. If you like comedy that spares no one — including itself — this is essential viewing, and Paramount+ makes the whole run easy to explore from the very first episode.
