Where to Watch
Slow Horses streams on Apple TV+ in the US, according to TMDB’s watch listing, and Apple TV is the series’ home network.

Overview
Real espionage is rarely glamorous, and Slow Horses knows it better than almost any spy show on television. The series follows the agents of Slough House, the MI5 dumping ground for operatives who have messed up badly enough to be exiled from headquarters but not quite badly enough to be fired. Their boss is Jackson Lamb, a brilliant, filthy, gloriously rude man who treats paperwork as punishment and his team as a constant disappointment. Yet beneath the jokes and the shabby offices, these are people who still care about doing the job, and when a genuine threat emerges, the so-called failures prove sharper than the polished agents who dismissed them. Based on Mick Herron’s novels, the show balances dry British humor with genuinely tense plotting, giving each six-episode season the shape of a tight, complete thriller. It is funny, cynical and surprisingly warm, a story about misfits who keep saving the day precisely because nobody expects them to.

Why Watch Slow Horses?
Slow Horses is the rare spy drama that trusts its audience. It never explains its jokes twice, never lets a hero speech rescue a scene, and never pretends that intelligence work is clean. Gary Oldman is magnificent as Lamb, turning every insult into a kind of affection, and the ensemble around him is just as strong, with each agent given flaws that matter to the plot rather than quirks for color. The seasons are short, so there is no filler, and each one lands its ending with real impact. If you like thrillers where the smartest person in the room is also the most disreputable, and where loyalty is earned rather than assumed, Slough House is the place to be.
