Overview

A man known only as the Professor has spent years planning the perfect robbery, and now he puts it into motion. He recruits eight strangers, each given the name of a city, and trains them in a secluded house until every step of the plan is memorized. Their target is the Royal Mint of Spain: dressed in red jumpsuits and Salvador Dalí masks, they will storm the building, take hostages, and print billions of euros while the police close in outside. But no plan survives contact with real people. Hostages rebel, robbers fall in love, and the inspector leading the case, Raquel Murillo, begins a dangerous game of wits with the Professor himself. Later seasons raise the stakes with a second, even bolder heist at the Bank of Spain. Tense, twist-filled and endlessly quotable, Money Heist turned a Spanish thriller into a global phenomenon, complete with its anthem, Bella Ciao.

Why Watch Money Heist?

Money Heist is pure binge fuel: every episode ends on a cliffhanger, every plan has a backup plan, and every character is one bad decision from disaster. The Professor’s chess-master mind games with the police are endlessly clever, but it is the gang’s messy loyalties and romances that keep you watching. Add the red jumpsuits, the Dalí masks and Bella Ciao, and you have a heist series that became a cultural moment for a reason.

  1. […] Money Heist Berlin season 2 is the next question for fans of the Netflix heist universe, because the main series has ended but its world did not end with the Professor’s final plan. The spin-off Berlin, centred on the charismatic and dangerous Andrés de Fonollosa, known as Berlin, has become the main route for the franchise’s future. Fans now want to know whether Berlin season 2 is happening, what other spin-offs could follow, and how much of this is confirmed rather than wishful thinking. […]
