Late Night with Seth Meyers

2014 • TMDB 5.1 • 14 seasons • Talk, Comedy

Overview

When Seth Meyers took over NBC’s Late Night in 2014, he brought the newsroom timing he had honed as Saturday Night Live’s longest-serving Weekend Update anchor. Each weeknight, Meyers opens with a monologue that turns the day’s headlines into sharp, fast jokes, then settles in for interviews with actors, musicians, authors and politicians who rarely get asked the follow-up question.

The show’s signature is its second act: recurring bits such as A Closer Look, where Meyers dismantles a news story with clips, charts and escalating disbelief, alongside games, musical performances and the writers’ room energy of Amber Ruffin and Jenny Hagel. It is a talk show built for people who follow the news closely and still want to laugh at it before bed.
