Overview

In the year 198 of the Solar Era, Tokyo lives under the shadow of Spontaneous Human Combustion — ordinary people bursting into flame and becoming mindless fire monsters called Infernals. The Special Fire Force exists to put those souls to rest, and its Company 8 is home to the pyrokinetics who can control flame while staying human. Among them is Shinra Kusakabe, a cheerful recruit with the power to ignite his feet at will — the so-called Devil’s Footprints — who dreams of becoming a hero. But Shinra is also chasing a ghost from his own past: the fire that claimed his mother and younger brother twelve years earlier, and the truth about what really happened that night. As Company 8 battles Infernals, clashes with rival companies, and uncovers a conspiracy reaching into the church and the highest seats of power, Shinra’s quest for answers becomes a fight for the future of the world itself. Fire Force pairs spectacular flame-fueled action with a mystery that only burns hotter season by season.
