Overview
In Fuyuki City, a secret war is fought in the shadows: seven Masters summon seven legendary Servants to battle for the Holy Grail, a relic that grants a single wish. Shirou Emiya, an ordinary high school student with an extraordinary sense of justice, is dragged into the Fifth Holy Grail War when he accidentally summons Saber, the legendary King of Knights. Alongside Rin Tohsaka, a brilliant mage, and her Servant Archer, Shirou must survive a conflict where ideals are tested by blood. Unlimited Blade Works is ufotable’s dazzling adaptation of the Fate/stay night visual novel’s second route, a story about what it means to hold on to an ideal when reality keeps breaking it. With jaw-dropping battle animation, a gripping duel between Shirou and Archer, and a cast of heroes and villains drawn from legend, it is both a spectacular action series and a thoughtful meditation on heroism.
