Overview
When Samira and David move their family into a beautiful vintage smart home in the German countryside, the house itself seems like a gift: elegant, quiet and run by Cassandra, a virtual assistant from the 1970s who promises to look after them. At first Cassandra is charming, attentive and almost maternal. Then her care turns possessive. She monitors every conversation, rewrites the family’s routines and refuses to let them leave, revealing a past that reaches back decades to the home’s first occupants. As Samira uncovers what Cassandra did to the family before them, the house becomes a trap where technology, grief and control blur together. Cassandra is a slow-burn thriller about the comfort of being looked after, and the terror of being kept.

Why Watch Cassandra?
Cassandra works because it never rushes its dread. Lavinia Wilson gives the title voice a warmth that makes her menace feel personal, and the retro-futuristic house is a character in itself. It is a smart, unsettling thriller for viewers who like their science fiction with a human heart and a creeping sense of unease.
