Overview

Arcane opens in the divided world of Piltover and Zaun, where gleaming towers of invention look down on shadowed streets ruled by crime and desperation. At its heart are two sisters, Vi and Jinx, whose bond is shattered by violence, ambition and a dangerous new substance that promises power at a terrible price. As inventors Jayce and Viktor push the boundaries of magic and technology, politicians, enforcers and underworld bosses all fight to control the future of both cities. What sets Arcane apart is how personal its epic conflict feels: every battle, betrayal and invention grows out of characters who love, resent and desperately need one another. Fortiche’s painterly animation gives the show a visual richness rarely seen on television, while its score and voice performances deepen the emotional stakes. Across two tightly plotted seasons, the series builds from street-level tragedy to city-shaking war without ever losing sight of the sisters at its center, making it one of the most complete animated dramas of recent years.
