Overview

Usagi Tsukino is a clumsy, crybaby middle schooler who would rather nap than save the world, until a talking cat named Luna tells her she is Sailor Moon, champion of love and justice. Armed with a magical brooch, a tiara, and an enormous heart, Usagi gathers the Sailor Guardians: brainy Ami, fiery Rei, strong Makoto, and glamorous Minako, to defend Earth from the Dark Kingdom and the forces that threaten it. Beneath the monster-of-the-week battles lies a sweeping story of reincarnation, friendship, and first love, with the mysterious Tuxedo Mask always appearing at just the right moment. Sailor Moon defined the magical girl genre, blending humor, romance, and genuine stakes into an anime that still sparkles more than thirty years later.
