Overview

Ulice — Czech for “street” — is the Czech Republic’s long-running daily soap, broadcast by TV Nova since 2005. Set in a Prague neighborhood, it follows the intertwined lives of the Farský, Jordán, Boháč, Nikl, and Liška families and their neighbors, as they face the everyday battles of modern life: divorce, love, betrayal, illness, and family secrets, alongside occasional brushes with crime. With thousands of episodes behind it, Ulice has grown into a national institution, its characters aging alongside its audience and its storylines reflecting two decades of Czech life. The show’s mix of domestic drama, humor, and romance has kept it at the heart of Czech prime time for more than twenty years.
