Overview
When the world’s greatest blue sapphire — the “blue lapis fist” — is put on display at Singapore’s Marina Bay Sands, master thief Kaito Kid announces he will steal it, and a murder soon throws the glittering city into chaos. Smuggled into Singapore without a passport, Conan Edogawa must solve the case in secret while dodging the local authorities, and his only ally is the very thief he usually chases. Meanwhile, karate champion Makoto Kyogoku faces his toughest opponent yet in a tournament that turns deadly. The Fist of Blue Sapphire takes Detective Conan out of Japan for the first time in a movie, and the change of scenery suits it: Singapore’s skyline, harbor, and martial-arts action give the mystery a sun-soaked, blockbuster energy. With Kid at his most charming and Conan at his sharpest, this is a fast, fun whodunit that works whether you have followed the series for decades or are meeting its pint-sized detective for the first time.
