The Bear

2022 • TMDB 8.2 • 5 seasons • 46 episodes • Drama, Comedy • Hulu

Overview

Carmen “Carmy” Berzatto was a fine-dining chef at the top of his game — until his brother’s death brought him home to Chicago to run the family’s chaotic Italian beef sandwich shop, The Original Beef of Chicagoland. The Bear is the story of what happens next: a brilliant, broken man trying to transform a struggling shop, a stubborn crew and himself, all at once. Created by Christopher Storer, the series is famous for its white-knuckle kitchen sequences — the shouting, the clatter, the tickets piling up — but its real power lies in the quiet moments: grief, addiction, family dinners that explode, and a found family slowly learning to work together. Across five seasons, Carmy, Sydney, Richie and the rest chase a Michelin dream, open a fine-dining restaurant of their own, and confront the question at the show’s heart: can you build something beautiful without destroying yourself in the process? Funny, frantic and deeply moving, The Bear is one of the defining dramas of its era.
