Overview
Expelled from yet another school after a piranha-related revenge plot, Wednesday Addams is sent to Nevermore Academy, the boarding school for outcasts where her parents first fell in love. She has no interest in friends, school spirit, or fitting in — she plans to escape. But a string of monster attacks around the nearby town of Jericho, a sinister secret buried in Nevermore’s past, and her own emerging psychic visions keep pulling her back. Armed with a typewriter, a cello, and the driest wit on television, Wednesday investigates a mystery that connects her family to a centuries-old vendetta, while reluctantly collecting the one thing she claims to despise: people who care about her. Season 2 raises the stakes with a stalker, a new headmaster, and a family secret that threatens everyone she has come to protect.

Why Watch Wednesday?
Wednesday works because it never apologizes for its heroine: she is morbid, blunt, and gloriously uncompromising, and Jenna Ortega plays her with perfect deadpan conviction. Around her, the show builds a genuinely fun mystery — a monster on the loose, a school full of suspects, and a heroine who would rather solve crimes than make friends. The gothic production design, Tim Burton’s visual fingerprints, and the unlikely friendship between Wednesday and her relentlessly sunny roommate Enid give the series its heart. It is spooky without being scary, funny without undercutting the stakes, and bingeable in the best way.
