Overview
The Gift of Deceit is a Brazilian drama that turns a mother’s desperate hope into a tangle of lies, power, and family secrets. Wealthy art collector Lúcia Rossetti has spent her life protecting her daughter Maíra, whose mysterious illness resists every conventional answer. When Lúcia turns to a spiritual healer, she walks straight into a con, and the fallout cracks open long-buried truths that bind two families together. Love, control, resentment, and guilt run through every episode as loyalties shift and carefully kept secrets surface one by one. Marieta Severo anchors the series as Lúcia, with Alice Wegmann as Maíra and Nanda Costa in a dual role that keeps viewers guessing. Telenovela emotion meets modern thriller pacing, with glossy production, sharp performances, and twists that reward close watching. For viewers who like family sagas where nobody is entirely innocent, this ten-episode season is an easy, absorbing binge.
