Overview

Scènes de ménages is a beloved French comedy that turns everyday couple life into short, sharp sketches. Since 2009, the M6 series has followed several couples from different generations — from young lovers to long-married retirees — as they navigate arguments, tender moments, and the small absurdities of sharing a home. Each episode is built from brief scenes in which the characters trade witty retorts and land in funny situations, making the show instantly accessible even to viewers dropping in for a few minutes. Over eighteen seasons, its couples have become familiar faces in France, and the format’s warmth and gentle satire of domestic life have kept it a fixture of early-evening television.
