Overview

Pinoy Big Brother is the Philippine adaptation of the global Big Brother reality format, and one of the most enduring shows in Filipino television. Since 2005, strangers — and, in celebrity editions, stars — have moved into the famous Big Brother house, living together under constant cameras while completing weekly tasks and facing nominations and public evictions. Housemates share their stories, form friendships and rivalries, and compete for the title of Big Winner. Across regular, celebrity, teen, and all-in editions, the show has launched the careers of many of the Philippines’ biggest stars, while its mix of drama, humor, and heartfelt confessionals keeps viewers voting week after week. It remains a cultural event in the Philippines, with new seasons still drawing huge audiences two decades on.

Created by John de Mol, the format’s originator. The Philippine edition has been hosted by Bianca Gonzalez, Toni Gonzaga, Robi Domingo, Melai Cantiveros, Mariel Rodriguez, Kim Chiu, Enchong Dee, Alex Gonzaga, and Alexa Ilacad, among others.
