Overview

Yuji Itadori is an ordinary high school student with extraordinary physical strength, living a quiet life until the night he swallows a cursed finger to save his friends. The finger belongs to Ryomen Sukuna, the King of Curses, and suddenly Yuji is sharing his body with the most dangerous curse in history. Instead of being executed on the spot, he is taken in by Tokyo Jujutsu High under the watchful eye of the supremely powerful sorcerer Satoru Gojo. There, alongside the brooding Megumi Fushiguro and the fiercely confident Nobara Kugisaki, Yuji learns to fight the curses that feed on human fear and hatred. His mission is grim: find and consume all of Sukuna’s fingers, then die on his own terms. Between the sadistic curse Mahito, the scheming Suguru Geto and the mastermind Kenjaku, and the devastating Shibuya Incident, Yuji’s search for a proper death keeps pulling him toward battles where the price of victory is measured in the people he cannot save. Jujutsu Kaisen pairs bone-crunching action with a surprisingly tender heart, making every fight feel like a choice about what kind of person Yuji is willing to become.

Why Watch Jujutsu Kaisen?

  • A hero who is cursed from the very first episode — Yuji’s death sentence is part of the premise, not a twist.
  • Fights built on rules, strategy and cursed techniques, from Gojo’s Limitless to Megumi’s shikigami.
  • Villains with real philosophies, especially Mahito’s cruelty and Geto’s war on non-sorcerers.
  • A mentor in Satoru Gojo who is both the strongest sorcerer alive and the story’s biggest wildcard.
  • Dark, funny and genuinely emotional in equal measure, with a cast that makes every loss hurt.
