Overview
Kagome Higurashi is an ordinary modern schoolgirl until a fall down an old well drops her into feudal Japan, a world of demons, shrines, and ancient rivalries. There she frees Inuyasha, a half-demon pinned to a sacred tree for fifty years, and discovers she carries the Shikon Jewel, a powerful gem that shatters into fragments scattered across the land. Forced to team up, Kagome and Inuyasha set out to gather the shards before demons and the sinister Naraku can use them for evil. Along the way they are joined by the lecherous monk Miroku, the demon slayer Sango, and a young fox demon named Shippo. What begins as a quest for a jewel becomes a story of loyalty, first love, and the pull between two eras, as Kagome balances school life in the present with a war for the past. Inuyasha blends comedy, romance, and thrilling swordplay into a long-running adventure that defined a generation of anime fans.

Why Watch Inuyasha?
Inuyasha is the rare epic that earns its length: a sweeping fantasy romance with a hero who is prickly, loyal, and impossible to forget. Its feudal setting, demon-slaying action, and slow-burn love story between Kagome and Inuyasha still feel fresh, and the finale actually delivers the ending fans waited years for. If you love long adventures with heart, humor, and sword fights, this is essential viewing.
