Overview

El Señor de los Cielos is Telemundo’s sprawling narco-telenovela about Aurelio Casillas, a drug lord nicknamed the “Lord of the Skies” for the fleet of airplanes he used to move his product. Set in the world of the Juárez cartel, the series follows Aurelio’s rise, his battles with rival cartels and law enforcement, and the family loyalties that both protect and endanger him. Since its debut in 2013, the show has grown into one of Spanish-language television’s biggest hits, mixing high-stakes action — shootouts, escapes, and shifting alliances — with the emotional core of a family saga. Aurelio’s children, lovers, and enemies keep the story turning across ten seasons, and the series is known for its dramatic reinventions and cliff-hangers. It is a telenovela with the scale of a crime epic, and it remains one of Telemundo’s flagship dramas.
