Overview
Ichika Hoshino is a high-school musician who can step into SEKAI, a mysterious world where she and her friends turn their truest feelings into music alongside virtual singers led by Hatsune Miku. After a live performance, Ichika meets a Miku unlike any she has known, a Miku who cannot sing, whose voice will not reach anyone’s heart. No matter how hard this new Miku tries, her songs fall flat, and the world around her begins to fade. To help her find her voice again, Ichika and her friends must reach across the distance between their worlds and remind Miku why music matters. Directed by Hiroyuki Hata and animated by P.A. Works, the film expands the world of the hit mobile game Project SEKAI into a big-screen story about creativity, loneliness, and the courage to be heard.

Why Watch Colorful Stage! The Movie: A Miku Who Can’t Sing?
What sets this film apart is how seriously it treats a singer who has lost her song. Rather than a simple concert movie, it is a gentle story about creative block, self-doubt, and the way other people can help us hear ourselves again. The SEKAI sequences burst with color and catchy numbers, while the quieter scenes give Ichika and her friends room to feel real. Fans of the game will recognize their favorite virtual singers, and newcomers will find a warm, self-contained story about finding your voice.
