Demon Slayer -Kimetsu no Yaiba- The Movie: Mugen Train (2020)
2020 • TMDB 8.2 • 1h 57m • Animation, Action, Fantasy
Overview
Tanjiro, Nezuko, Zenitsu and Inosuke board the Infinity Train to join the Flame Hashira, Kyojuro Rengoku, on a mission to hunt the demon responsible for a string of disappearances. But the train itself is the trap: the Lower Rank demon Enmu puts every passenger to sleep, forcing the young slayers to fight their way out of dreams that show them exactly what they long for most. What follows is a breathless blend of ufotable’s jaw-dropping animation, heartfelt character work and one of the most emotional final battles in anime — as Rengoku stands alone against a far stronger foe to protect everyone aboard. The highest-grossing anime film of all time at its release, Mugen Train is a direct continuation of the TV series and an essential chapter of the Demon Slayer story.

Why Watch Mugen Train?
Because few anime films earn their tears as honestly as this one. Mugen Train pairs spectacular sword fights with a story about grief, duty and what it means to keep moving forward, and its climax — Rengoku’s stand against Akaza — is rightly legendary among fans. Newcomers should watch the first season of the series first; everyone else should clear their schedule and keep tissues nearby.
