Pulp Fiction (1994)
1994 • TMDB 8.5 • 2h 34m • Thriller, Crime, Comedy
Overview
Two hitmen, a boxer, a gangster’s wife and a pair of small-time robbers cross paths in Los Angeles — and not in the order you might expect. Quentin Tarantino’s landmark crime film tells three interlocking stories out of sequence: Vincent Vega and Jules Winnfield, hitmen who debate cheeseburgers and divine intervention between jobs; Butch Coolidge, a boxer who double-crosses his mob boss; and Mia Wallace, whose night out with Vincent takes a dangerous turn. Packed with razor-sharp dialogue, dark comedy and unforgettable set pieces — from the diner robbery to the dance contest at Jack Rabbit Slim’s — Pulp Fiction rewrote the rules of screenwriting and revived John Travolta’s career. Winner of the Palme d’Or and the Academy Award for Best Original Screenplay, it remains one of the most quoted and imitated films ever made.

Why Watch Pulp Fiction?
Because almost no other film changed cinema so completely. Pulp Fiction made nonlinear storytelling mainstream, turned everyday conversation into riveting cinema, and delivered a soundtrack, a cast and a script that have never faded. Whether you are watching for the first time or the fiftieth, its cool confidence, shocking turns and endlessly quotable lines still hit as hard as they did in 1994.
