Overview

In late 19th-century London, the British Empire runs on a brutal hierarchy: nobles live in luxury while the working class suffers at their hands. William James Moriarty, a brilliant young nobleman adopted into the Moriarty family, has seen enough. With his brothers Albert and Louis, and a hand-picked crew including the soldier Sebastian Moran, William becomes the “Lord of Crime” — a shadowy consultant who punishes corrupt aristocrats the law will never touch, all to build a fairer Britain. But his perfect crimes draw the attention of one man: the consulting detective Sherlock Holmes. Across 24 episodes, Moriarty the Patriot flips the Holmes myth on its head, turning its famous villain into a charismatic revolutionary and his nemesis into a worthy, dangerous rival. Stylish, clever and morally thorny, it asks whether crime can ever be justice — and makes you root for the answer.
