Overview

In a medieval world haunted by shape-shifting demons called youma, humanity’s only defense is the Claymores — silver-eyed women who are half youma themselves, wielding enormous swords and hiding a terrifying truth: every Claymore risks awakening into the very monsters she hunts. Clare is the weakest of their number, ranked last, until orphan Raki joins her journey and gives her a reason to fight beyond vengeance. Claymore is dark fantasy at its bleakest and most compelling, following Clare’s quest to find the Awakened Being who destroyed her past while the Organization that made her watches every move. Across 26 episodes, the show builds from monster-of-the-week hunts to a war between warriors, Awakened Beings and the shadowy figures pulling the strings.
