Overview
Tsukasa Akeuraji once dreamed of standing on the Olympic podium, but his own skating career ended in disappointment, leaving him coaching at a local rink and wondering what comes next. Then he meets Inori Yuitsuka, an 11-year-old girl who secretly practices figure skating on her own and burns with a talent far beyond her years. Figure skating is a sport that rewards those who start young, and Inori is already late, with a mother who wants her to give it up. Refusing to let another dream die, Tsukasa becomes her coach, and together they take on badge tests, local competitions, and rivals like the prodigy Hikaru Kamisaka. Based on Tsurumaikada’s acclaimed manga and animated by ENGI, Medalist is a sports drama about second chances, stubborn belief, and the long, glittering road to Olympic gold.

Why Watch Medalist?
Medalist is one of the most emotionally honest sports anime in years. It treats figure skating seriously, from the technical grind of jumps and badge tests to the politics of judging, and it never softens the cost of chasing a dream that starts late. Inori’s determination is genuinely inspiring, Tsukasa’s growth from failed skater to devoted coach is just as moving, and the competition scenes are staged with real tension and beauty.
