Overview

In the land of Westeros, where summers can last a decade and winter is always coming, noble houses scheme, marry and murder for the Iron Throne. The honorable Starks of the North, the ruthless Lannisters of King’s Landing and the exiled Targaryens across the sea all believe the crown should be theirs, while at the frozen Wall, the Night’s Watch guards the realm against an ancient evil stirring beyond it. Dragons return to the world, kings rise and fall in a single episode, and no character, however beloved, is ever truly safe. Based on George R. R. Martin’s novels, Game of Thrones grew from a dense fantasy saga into the biggest television event of its era, a story of power, loyalty and betrayal where the game never stops and the price of losing is everything.
