Overview
Two and a half years after leaving the Hidden Leaf Village to train, Naruto Uzumaki returns older, stronger and still chasing the same dream: to become Hokage and earn the respect of everyone around him. But the world he comes back to is more dangerous than ever, as the shadowy Akatsuki organization hunts the tailed beasts — including the Nine-Tails sealed inside Naruto himself. Across 500 episodes, Naruto: Shippuden grows up with its hero, trading the original series’ lighter missions for large-scale wars, devastating losses and friendships tested to breaking point. Sasuke’s fall and redemption, Sakura’s growth, Kakashi’s past and the long shadow of the Uchiha clan all build toward an epic final confrontation that defined a generation of anime fans. Emotional, action-packed and hugely influential, Shippuden is the essential second chapter of Naruto’s story.
