Overview
When the legendary pirate king Gol D. Roger is executed, he leaves behind a treasure so vast it sparks a new age of piracy. Among those who answer the call is Monkey D. Luffy, a cheerful young captain whose body stretches like rubber after eating a Devil Fruit. With nothing but a straw hat, boundless optimism and a dream of becoming King of the Pirates, he sets sail and gathers a crew as wild as he is: swordsman Zoro, navigator Nami, sharpshooter Usopp, cook Sanji, doctor Chopper and more. Together the Straw Hat Pirates cross seas ruled by tyrants, marines and rival crews, facing storms, betrayals and battles that test their loyalty at every turn. What keeps them afloat is not treasure alone but friendship: each island is a promise kept, each fight a debt repaid. Twenty-five years on, One Piece remains a sprawling adventure about freedom, found family and the long road to a dream worth chasing.
