Mob Psycho 100

2016 • TMDB 8.5 • 3 seasons • Animation, Action & Adventure, Comedy, Sci-Fi & Fantasy

Overview

Mob Psycho 100 is the rare action anime where the hero’s greatest enemy is his own feelings. Shigeo Kageyama — better known as Mob — is an unassuming middle schooler with psychic power so immense that it terrifies even him. Determined to live a normal life, he bottles up his emotions and works part-time for Reigen Arataka, a self-proclaimed psychic who is really a con artist with a heart of gold. But every feeling Mob suppresses pushes his power closer to 100 percent — and when the meter hits the top, something explosive happens. Around him swirl evil spirits, rival espers, and shadowy organizations that want to weaponize his gift. Beneath the dazzling, wildly inventive animation is a tender coming-of-age story about a boy learning to speak up, make friends, and accept himself. Funny, heartfelt, and visually unlike anything else, Mob Psycho 100 turns a superhero premise into a story about growing up.

Why Watch Mob Psycho 100?

Because it pairs jaw-dropping, psychedelic action with genuine emotional depth. The fights are spectacular, but the real thrill is watching a quiet kid find his voice — and the mentor who cons everyone except the boy who needs him most.
