Overview

Darna brings the Philippines’ most beloved superheroine to life in a sweeping GMA Network fantasy drama. Ordinary young woman Narda lives a quiet life until a magical stone chooses her, transforming her into the winged warrior Darna — protector of the innocent and sworn enemy of the forces of darkness. As Narda, she must balance everyday hopes, family ties, and a tender romance with the weight of a destiny she never asked for. As Darna, she faces a gallery of fearsome villains led by the serpent-haired Valentina, whose power and pain mirror her own. Across 140 episodes, the series mixes high-flying action, heartfelt melodrama, and colorful fantasy creatures, building toward battles where courage matters more than strength. Marian Rivera’s charismatic dual performance anchors the spectacle, making Darna both an escapist adventure and a story about responsibility, sacrifice, and standing up for others.
