Murderbot
2025 • TMDB 7.3 • 1 season, 10 episodes • Comedy, Drama, Sci-Fi & Fantasy
Overview
Murderbot is a self-aware android built for one purpose: keeping humans alive. The problem is, it would much rather be watching its favorite soap operas. After hacking its own governor module and gaining free will, the security unit is hired to protect a team of idealistic scientists on a distant planet — and finds itself caring about them despite every effort not to. As corporate sabotage, hostile creatures, and deadly secrets threaten the mission, Murderbot must hide its independence while saving the very people it finds so exhausting. Created by Chris and Paul Weitz and starring Alexander Skarsgård, Murderbot is a witty, action-packed adaptation of Martha Wells’ beloved books. Its dry humor, sharp action, and surprising tenderness make it one of the year’s most original science-fiction shows.
