Overview
Also known as I Remember You, Hello Monster pairs a brilliant but emotionally guarded detective with a criminal profiler who seems to know his past better than he does. Lee Hyun reads crime scenes the way others read faces, yet his own childhood memories remain a blank — until Cha Ji-an, a police detective with a personal stake in an old case, returns to his orbit. As the two work together, a string of unsettling murders forces them to confront a shared history neither fully understands. Park Bo-gum’s quietly menacing turn as a figure from Lee Hyun’s past adds a layer of unease to every encounter, while the investigation itself stays taut and methodical. Beneath the procedural machinery, the series is really about identity: how childhood wounds shape adults, and whether understanding a monster’s mind means recognizing something of yourself in it.
