Overview
Small Town Remedy is a warm, character-driven Chinese medical drama about a gifted doctor learning to heal himself. After an unexpected incident costs Liu Zhengliang his job at a top-tier hospital, he returns to his hometown and takes up work in the emergency department of a small community hospital. Far from the prestige and pressure of the big city, he meets patients whose resilience, humor, and humanity slowly reshape his view of medicine and of himself. Each case brings a new face, a new story, and a quiet lesson in what care really means. Xiao Zhan leads the cast as Liu Zhengliang, surrounded by a rich ensemble of hometown doctors, neighbors, and family. Gentle rather than sensational, the series finds its drama in everyday courage: a diagnosis delivered with kindness, a family reconciled at a bedside, a doctor rediscovering why he chose this work. For viewers who love heartfelt medical stories and small-town charm, it is an easy, uplifting watch.
